Dear Friend,

In this post I am going to share you with five reasons on Why Do Most People Fail In Blogging. There are lot of reasons for the failures but let me discuss the very basics. By avoiding the below mentioned points you can become successful in your blogging career.

Why Do Most People Fail In Blogging

Focusing On The Wrong Element

People often keen and focusing on the money part. They forget the people element and sound too commercial. They are looking and focusing on the money part first but they fail to understand that helping people is the main thing and money is the by-product of helping people.

You can build your business only by building relationships with your visitors. It won’t make any sense if you are thinking that people gonna pop in and buy your products or services that’s not going to happen there are lot of things you need to do before making a sale.

You need to realize there are real people on the other side and you need to provide them with the help they are looking for. You need to meet their need.

Not Treating Blogging As A Business

Not Treating Blogging As A Business

When it comes to work from home business people take it very lite or for granted. There is a difference between hobby and business. In order to succeed online you need to treat your blogging business as business. The way they approach their blogging business is not correct with many of the bloggers that’s one of the reason for failure.

Any business takes time and discipline to succeed.

No Proper Work Schedule

As like any business in blogging business you need to follow a proper or set work schedule. You need to have your daily work schedule and you need to follow it daily without fail. Your success is in your work schedule if you gonna miss your schedule you are going to miss success. Most of the time accountability is missing in the work from home business that’s one of the reason for the failure.

Time management is life management.

Blogging Is Not Harder As You Think

No Struggle No Progress

Anything in the beginning it will be harder that’s natural. We find it hard to learn alphabets when we were child, we find it hard to learn cycling, swimming but once keep doing, keep trying and keep practicing its not harder at all. In blogging also in the beginning it will be harder but once you love what you are doing its not at all harder as you think.

Practice Is The Mother Of Success!

Get Rich Quick Program

Its not a get rich quick program

As like instant coffee and instant food people are looking for instant success and instant money. To be honest there is no such thing called quick success or fast money. Success takes time. Every thing takes time and we need to invest our time and effort and need to wait for the results.

In blogging consistency and patience plays vital role.

  1. you are right Paul, blogging is not as hard as many think it is but it must be treated as a business and not a hobby. There are no short cuts so it is not an easy get rich quick sort of a deal. I think the most important point you make is we have to develop a relationship with our readers and offer them value. Either value in solving a problem or providing them with valuable information that they are searching for. This is a very well written post Paul.

    1. Dear Craig,

Thanks for stopping by and sharing your valuable information. You just covered my whole post in your comment thanks. Yes building relationship very very important money is the by-product. If we invest our effort and treat blogging as business for sure we will succeed and we need to bear in mind it will take time. Wishing You much Success!

  2. You hit on a few great points, Paul. Scheduling can be a huge factor in treating your blogging like a business. Another big thing is accountability. When working at home there is no one to be accountable too so it is easy to just let things slide. Which in turn hinders success.

    1. Dear Britt,

Yes our success is in our daily schedule and to be honest I do struggle to follow my schedule and miss it few times. But we need be consistent in our work to achieve success and only our daily schedule will get us there.

Yes Accountability plays important part in achieving success so having mentor helps a lot.

  3. Good article, Paul.
I think you really nailed the reasons for not succeeding. If we know it is a business, give it the time and effort needed for business success, (with office hours!) and honor our readers (customers) with respect , as well as follow the great training available through Wealthy Affiliate, we avoid these, and success is attainable and likely.

    1. Dear Annie,

Well said, yes we need to treat it as a business and not as a hobby. We need to work for a set hours minimum and follow our schedule without fail. I like the part we need to honor our customers that’s great, we need to provide them with the great value.

      Your Friend,
      Paul

  4. Hello Paul,
Your article hit a few good points that are to be commended! Kudos. Yes. A lot of people fail to remember that the service they provide should be the prime concern of any business and not focus on the money. The money is important, yes, however, you have to provide the service that people will want to pay for!
    Thanks for the reminder.
    Michelle

    1. Dear Michelle,

Thanks for stopping by. Yes helping customers, building relationship and providing value to our customers is the main things and money is the by-product. By doing the main things automatically the by-product will follow us.

      Your Friend,
      Paul

  5. I found so much value in the information in your article, Paul. Like anything great, it takes time, hard work and perseverance. A business gets better with age and patience. These are all great points in this post.

  6. Paul,

Tons of great information. They are all very valid reasons people fail at blogging. I especially like the fact that you said a lot people focus on the money aspect first and forget about the people that come to your site. If you help someone out, you are well on your way to success.

    Lisa

    1. Dear Lisa,

Yes by helping people and providing the great value automatically we are going to earn money. People will listen to whom they love but people buy to whom they trust so we need to build the trust by being genuine and really helpful.

      Your Friend,

  8. Hey Paul.

This is another very helpful post I have read from you. I really agree with all your point in this post.
Especially talking about helping our customers or visitors before trying to sell. And I really like this statement you made in your post, “helping people is the main thing and money is the by-product of helping people.” I surely agree to that. It is a fine way of building trust with our visitors.

I’m going to learn how to implement that now. Going forward.

    My best wishes,

    Stephen.

    1. Dear Stephen,

Thanks yes the money is the by-product. People making this mistake … Instead of focusing on value they focusing on money that’s one of the main reason for failure. By building relationship we can automatically build our business.

      Your Friend,
      Paul

  9. I have to admit, I’m still struggling with committing to a schedule for myself. My schedule changes from week to week, which, on one hand, I like, especially since I ‘ve done the 9 to 5 for over 20 years. On the other hand, it requires a discipline that I have not yet reached. But I also know, I can’t expect success to happen with an “I’ll just wing it” mindset.

    1. Dear Vero,

Not to worry for sure by practice you will achieve it. I do struggle often to keep up with my schedule but the next day I will stick to my schedule missing it one or two days is okay but bounce back . And Vero do remember our success is on our daily schedule so do follow it.

      Your Friend,
      Paul
