My Mentor in my online business, Bo Tipton, encouraged our mastermind group to take a look at a video today, by Brian Tracy…wow, what great tips and fundamental secrets to becoming a millionaire he gives!
One thing Brian says is that the pace of new millionaires being made is increasing exponentially, day by day…it is possible for any of us, with the right mindset and actions.
12 Secrets to Becoming a Millionaire
I’m going to briefely give you the 14 I pulled from the video…and I encourage you to go to the video yourself, too.
I’m also goimg to tell you about a great course I’ve found from a self-made millionaire hypnotist that covers many of these same secrets, and helps to embed the millionaire mindset right in your brain to make taking action to become a millionaire that much easier.
Brian Tracy begins by saying that becoming a millionaire is within the reach of every singel person, if you will just do the things that millionaires do.
These secrets have been studied extensively over the past 50 years, and written about in many books. Everything can be learned, he says…and that’s absolutely true I believe.
Getting the mind reset of the course I recommend will help make it easier sooner…
He says most of us are just one skill away from breaking into earning twice what we are now…we can all learn new skills…
Here are the secrets he outlines:
#1- Dream Big
Imagine specifically what you want 5 years from now. Make a dream list, with no limitations.
#2- Do What You Love
People tend to be good at doing what they love…many very successful people don’t even consider what is making them money work because they enjoy what they are doing.
#3- Commit to Excellence
Aim to be in the top 10% of what you do. Mediocrity is not an option.
Recognize that it takes 5-7 years to get to the top 10%…he says, if you think that’s too long, consider the alternative. The 5-7 years are coming…what makes sense for you to work toward during them?
#4 – See Yourself as Self-Employed
It’s not a matter of who is writing your paycheck. No matter who that is, you’re working for yourself.
Millionaires know they are responsible for their own lives, no one else! They take charge of their lives.
#5- Have a Clear Sense of Direction
Be goal-oriented, he says.
Make a list of 10 goals…then select the one that would make the biggest difference for your life.
Make a specific plan of the steps you need to take to get to your goal.
Know that there is a price to pay to get what you want, so set your sights, be willing to pay the price, and take action every single day.
#6- Failure is Not a Possibility
It is the fear of failing that stops us.
In reality we each fail at things every single day.
The key in the secrets to becoming a millionaire is to look at a failure as feedback, leaving us free to take our next steps more intelligently, as Henry Ford said.
#7- Dedicated to LifeLong Learning
All knowledge is advancing so that half of what we know now will be obsolete in two years…continuing to learn is vital.
Brian Tracy recommends reading books in our field 30-60 minutes a day, taking courses from experts and listening to audio programs in the car.
#8- Develop a Workaholic Mentality
He recommends the 40 Plus hour workweek…the average millionaire works 59 hours each week, he says.
One caveat, is work when you work. Don’t waste time socializing, and shuffling papers. Play when worktime is over, not during your work hours,
#9- Surround Yourself With the Right People
You pick up habits and actions from the people you spend time with. Make sure you are picking up winning habits.
#10- Be Prepared To Climb From Peak to Peak
Going straight up is not the real world. There will be peaks and valleys.
It is the overall trend up that counts, and you need to be prepared for setbacks and problems…even crises,
It is how you handle them that matters…they will happen.
Developing Resilience and Bounce-Back is one of the secrets of becoming a millionaire. Be solutions-oriented.
#11- Be an Unshakable Optimist
Optimists are people who look on the positive side of things…with the results that
- they learn more
- they try more
- they don’t quit
#12 – Have Courage and Persistence
Having courage is the antidote to fear of failure, he says.
There are two kinds of courage he discusses: the courage to begin without guarantees, and the courage to persist and never give up.

Brian Tracy cites Napoleon Hill for this one…the master key, the big secret, to becoming a millioniare is
